Ice training is an awe-inspiring experience like no other, where you slip out of grip and move into a graceful slide... Driving flat out on a frozen lake in the middle of Scandinavia - sideways!
Professional driving instruction on frozen lakes in the latest Audi Quattro’s and the freedom of open wilderness - one of the most stunning environments in the world. Ice Driving in Sweden is THE ultimate driving experience.
In the far north of Sweden lies a ski village called Are, also known as “the jewel of the Swedish mountains” and playing host to the largest continuous ski area north of the Alps, creating the perfect backdrop to experience driving at its best! Many World Rally championship teams choose to test their vehicle set ups here due to the abundance of ice and snow and the perfect extreme conditions.
For 2017 (January to March) we are able to offer you the opportunity to control the power of the Audi and experience the exhilaration of driving on ice. With 380 – 1100 studs on each tyre, these Audi’s are perfect to help you sharpen your line and car control. Our team of some of the most experienced ice and snow driving instructors will ensure you get the most out of your time on the ice, and develop your skills over the action-packed two day period. You will also experience the thrill of a snowmobile safari which is just as much fun as the ice driving!
Extend your stay with us and take advantage of the fantastic ski area that surrounds you. Voted by Conde Nast traveller magazine to be one of the top 10 places to ski in the world, host to The Alpine World Ski Championships in 2007 and an annual FIS World Cup skiing event, Are offers around 100kms slopes and guaranteed snow amongst stunning scenery.
From arrival to departure you will receive first-class hospitality in a choice of 2 hotels, both offering a warm welcome, stylish Scandinavian décor, stunning views and exceptional dining on local cuisine such as moose, deer and trout.

When you’re not driving top performance cars around the lake, relax in the hotel spa, unwind in hotel bar or experience some apres ski atmosphere in one of the many bars Are offers.

“The experience was all that was expected and more, it was a steep learning curve and left me much more able and confident with car control. The hotel and food were superb, the sauna with the views was just soooo nice. Skidoos are always good fun, especially over the local terrain”

“An extremely enjoyable weekend; action packed with ice driving and snowmobiling that would be thoroughly enjoyed by both ‘petrol heads’ as well as their partners. The skills learned during the weekend are equally applicable to driving on roads back home or on the track and the cars used are a drivers dream – thoroughly recommended 10/10”
Gary – Jersey
“I have been racing for 9 years and a friend recommended Ice Driving.Net, I cannot believe how much I learned over two days. When I went out on track in the wet after the course, I felt so much more confident and my times were so much more competitive. If it’s good enough for Michael Schumacher it’s certainly good enough for me! I will be back!”
